Full & Half Day Preschool Programming
The Colonial Early Education Program (CEEP) is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that celebrates each child’s learning potential, while developing his or her unique identity. The anticipated outcome of our program is to acquire the essential skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.

Children in the CEEP program that have been identified as having special needs receive special education services, attend for free, and receive free transportation.

Typically developing peers, called “Typical Peers,” pay tuition, and there is no transportation provided for Typical Peers. All interested families must submit a Typical Peer Application at: http://colonialschooldistrict.org/schools/preschool/programinformation/

Before and After Care
Before Care is available for Typical Peers. Before Care is held from 7:30-8:27, and After Care is held from 3:19-5:00. For the 2016-2017 school year, Before and After Care will cost $100 per month (for a total of $1000), and will only be available for children attending the full day program.

Answers to Common Questions:

  • The Colonial Early Education Program (CEEP) has been in Colonial for many years, but it has recently expanded and added new classrooms in order to offer full-day programming for four-year-olds and more spaces for TYPICAL PEERS (for children without developmental delays).
  • Children who receive “Speech Only” services are eligible to apply for TYPICAL PEER spaces.
  • Children with identified special needs (children who have regular IEPs, not “Speech Only” IEPs) receive special education services for free through the Colonial School District. Some children with IEPs received services at CEEP, while others receive services at a local Head Start or at an early learning center within Colonial’s boundaries. The IEP team (including the parents) determines where the best place to provide services will be. Children with IEPS are not eligible to apply for TYPICAL PEER spaces.
  • TYPICAL PEER spaces are LIMITED in number.
  • TYPICAL PEER spaces are available 1) through the lottery, OR 2) by being on the waiting list.
