Update: Delaware State Police have thoroughly searched the building after an automated bomb threat that was called in this morning. The search found nothing out of the ordinary or suspicious. Around 10:30 this morning, we received an automated bomb threat to our school. Police were immediately notified and students were evacuated to a safe location. Good morning Wilmington Manor families. Our final round of state testing will take place this week: On Monday and Tuesday (the 23rd and 24th), our 5th grade students will take the Science DCAS. On Wednesday and Thursday (the 25th and 26th), our 4th grade students will take the Social Studies DCAS. Also during this week, the specials teachers have planned a week of outdoor activities. They have requested that all students in grades KN-5 wear play clothes and their sneakers all week in order to participate. Please mark your calendars with the following dates: On Friday, May 27th, we will be holding our annual ESL Awards Assembly at 9am. All ESL students who work with Dr. Shirley will be recognized on that day. Also on May 27th, all WMES students will be dismissed at 12:42pm for a professional development day for teachers. On that abbreviated day, we are holding a Red, White, and Blue Spirit Day in honor of the USA as we celebrate the Memorial Day holiday. On Monday, May 30th, there is no school for students also in celebration of the Memorial Day Holiday. ...
